Paxton Lumber

Date

1997-1999

Location

Cincinnati, OH

Waiting until I achieved 18 years of age, I began my career as a lumberjack moving 10,000bf of hardwood lumber each day. Early success in business was raising on-time shipping from low 80% to high 90%. This also had the downside of employee pricing of cost +10%; that meant I was BROKE! I accumulated pieces in my shop still aging to this day awaiting the perfect project. While my love for Paxton still remains to this day, the operation manager reneged on a $0.10/hr raise and that set the course of me going to school for Mechanical Engineering.
